Tough losses on both Friday - the Royals bullpen blowing it, as KC held the 3-1 lead heading into the 8th inning, but ended up getting rocked late, 8-3 - and they again yesterday as the Brewers on the Run Line were only able to win it by one run, 6-5.
The only thing I can do today is go to the break with a winner.

Jason Mahaffey's Rating System
Every time I hear some handicapper coming with his double-platinum something or 50,000♦ quadruple whatever play, I think about the classic
Animal House line about the Delta's being put on "Double Secret Probation."
It's a goddamn rating. It's meant to tell you how much I like a game so you can figure out what portion of your bankroll for the day to play.
I didn't go to MIT. Did you?
100 Dimes is the max. With rare exception I might top that when I either LOVE a play or I'm on a roll and want to press the action.
A 100 Dime play is 4X stronger than a 25-Dime release.
No calculators required here, guys and girls.
And when I'm telling you how much profit we've made, it's always NET, based on wins and losses factoring in the VIG.
Who is Jason Mahaffey?
Hollywood did NOT make a movie about my life as a sports handicapper.
That should make you happy I'm here just for that reason alone.
And I didn't golf with Clinton, hang with Gretzky, or walk any Hollywood red carpets, either.
So I've got no great stories or tall tales to tell you, either.
I love handicapping. This is my job. I think I'm pretty damn good at it. But I'm not going to tell you how I did in 2017, or whether I won 6 of the past 8 Super Bowls because it means ABSOLUTEY NOTHING.
Can I make you money today?
Can I make you money tomorrow.
Most importantly, can I make you money over the long term, for the week, month or season?
That's my goal. Every day - whether you're a customer or not - you'll see how I did the previous day. You can keep track because I've got nothing to hide.
There's no secret formula here folks. You either win or lose. The rest is BS.
Today's Complimentary Play
The Cubs were able to jump on the Yankees early on Saturday and stop New York's 5-game winning streak, as Chicago took a 5-2 decision to set up the rubber game today at Yankee Stadium.
Chicago ends the first half looking to split their 6-game road swing, but I see the Cubs failing this afternoon and heading to the break with losses in 5 of their last 8 games.
The Yankees will send Will Warren to the hill, and he has made just 1 bad start over his last 4, and is coming off of a 5-plus inning scoreless effort against the Seattle Mariners in a game the Yankees won 10-3. New York has won 3 of his last 4 starts overall.
Shota Imanaga has also pitched well since his return to the rotation, with only 5 runs allowed in his last 16-plus innings pitched. I expect both pitchers to be on top of their game in this last start before the break, but since New York is 30-18 at home this season, I will side with the home team to capture the rubber game on Sunday afternoon in the Bronx.
