Sticking with the home team tonight in the nightcap of the Eastern Conference playoff, play-in meetings, as I believe the Bulls will hold serve at home against the Hawks who enter this game at 15-26 on the road for the season.

These teams met 3 times during the regular season, Chicago taking 2 of the 3 both straight up and against the spread. True, Atlanta did win the most recent meeting, 113-101 in the Windy City of April 1st, but the Hawks come into this meeting having lost 6 straight games, including each of their last 4 on the road.

The Bulls played their final 3 games away from the United Center and were able to win a pair of them, and they also went right down to the wire on Sunday in New York against the #2 seeded Knicks, in a 120-119 loss that saw them cover as the underdog.

The Atlanta injury situation - Johnson, Okongwu, and Bey ALL sidelined - limits what the Hawks can do, and those 6 straight losses are no fluke.

I have seen Trae Young put Atlanta on his back and carry them come this time of year, he will have to do it again tonight if the Hawks are to play on.

Personally, I'd rather lay the small number with the Bulls on their home court.
